This Season

I don't have much to say tonight. I broke my hand a week ago today. It feels a lot better and I'm gonna go shred tomorrow.  I got two days of skiing in before that incident. We'll see how this season goes.

Lately: On schedule but it ain't easy.

I've developed a philosophy in the last few weeks that to be succesful I have constantly be on the threshold of being uncomfortable but not to uncomfortable to function. Constant struggle is sought for because it's my only assurance of success. 

Anyways, I've been busy being a masochist or whatever but hopefully I can get some photos or a story on here soon.

Lately: I made a funny mistake

In the last few days Whistler Blackcomb hosted a social networking contest. The idea was that you tag a photo with #wbfirsttracks and then they'd choose the best  one and the winner would go and take a helicopter to ski the fresh pow on Blackcomb glacier with some well known pros. Everyone that entered used photos of them skiing last season. I didn't know that there was a theme, I just thought I should  have shown how desperate I was. So while I should have been working I climbed up a big pile of drywall at the transfer station and took a photo of myself skiing down it on plywood.

 I guess I looked kind of stupid, but now I have this photo.

Lately: Bon's

Bon's off Broadway is a very special restaurant at Broadway and Nanaimo in Vancouver. They have a $2.95 breakfast that does the trick when you're feeling bad from the night before. Most weekends I go there with a friend or two. I was really hungry today so I had three breakfasts. I'll miss places like this when I'm back in Whistler.

Breakfast all day

I'm not sure where I'd rather be. I would be so close to and in tune with the coming winter in Whistler, and life would be simple. I'm also probably more comfortable in the city. I might try to convince myself that I enjoy life more in the sticks but that's not true. I like all this concrete.

Lately:

It's fall now, and it got cold surprisingly quick here in Vancouver. I actually got sick spending the first cold, rainy day of autumn outside. Now I've missed three days of work in bed. At least I caught up on Breaking Bad.

That and cleaning my room. Look at all my shoes.
